LAVORARE A LONDRA PER CAMBIARE IL TUO FUTURO

    UNDERGROUND
London underground - or Tube - is a vast and efficient network of different lines, the fastest means of transport that allows around 5 millions passengers every day to move throughout the city.

It's the first underground in the whole world (opened in 1863) and comes from the ancient Metropolitan Railway. With its 11 lines, marked by different names and colours, and its 270 stations, it stretches for around 250 miles (400km). It runs from 6am to midnight every day. A couple of years ago a new network was opened ,that operates at night during weekends.

     BUSES ("single-decker" and "double-decker")

London Buses are another convenient mean of transport: single-decker or double-decker buses allow the passenger to pass by many attractions and discover many parts of the city; in particular travelling by double-decker bus is quite panoramic and enjoyable.

The peculiar characteristic is their famous red color.

Every day around 6000 buses run through the city in 700 different routes, stopping at 17000 bus stops. During the night there are night buses marked by an "N" before the number and by "24 hour", covering the whole urban area.

To use the bus network you can buy single ticket, daily ticket or pass ticket (Oyster Card).
